You attempt to interrupt a creature in the process of casting a spell. If the creature is casting a spell of 3rd level or lower, its spell fails and has no effect. If it is casting a spell of 4th level or higher, make an ability check using your spellcasting ability. The DC equals 10 + the spell’s level. On a success, the creature’s spell fails and has no effect.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the interrupted spell has no effect if its level is less than or equal to the level of the spell slot you used.

On a success, the creature’s spell fails and has no effect. If you roll a natural 20, then the spell is reflected on the spellcaster but the spell component is consumed.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the interrupted spell has no effect if its level is less than or equal to the level of the spell slot you used.

Components. Emerald worth 1,000 gp (not consumed).

This spell variant use the same mechanics of the standard spell, but it allows the spellcaster to reflect any spell effect, however he has to suffer the effect of the spell. By absorbing the magical energy aimed at him, he is able to redirect the magical energy against its caster.

If the creature is casting a spell of 3rd level or lower, its spell works normally, is absorbed and then reflected automatically. If it is casting a spell of 4th level or higher, make an ability check using your spellcasting ability. The DC equals 6 + the spell’s level. On a success, the creature’s spell works normally and then is reflected against the caster.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the interrupted spell has no effect if its level is less than or equal to the level of the spell slot you used.
