Tower of Iron Will is the strongest mental defense and the one that requires more effort from part of the psionicist. All area of the mind are protected the very moment the defense activates.

Tower of Iron Will relies on the force of superego in order to function, so if the psionicist is affected by mind-affecting effects that are crippling its moral and ethical principles, then this mental defense cannot be activated until the effects cease or are removed.

In addition, the psionicist can extend the mental defense beyond its mind, to protect targets that has been previousy contacted (see Contact).

The stronger is the attacker’s willpower, the more expensive is to maintain this mental defense active.

The Maintenance Cost is 1 PSPs per round plus the attacker’s Wisdom modifier.

The psionicist enhance his defense against mind-affecting effects requiring a Wisdom saving throw that causes the psionicist to lose control of his actions.

If the psionicist fails a saving throw to resist such an effect, he can decide to spend an amount of PSPs equal to the DC of the saving throw and resist the effect instead.
