5th Edition Advanced Mode
Limiting the power of a character and making the overall difficulty of the game harder, does not reduce the creativity, indeed it does quite the opposite.
The Game Master has the option to use any and all of the instances proposed in this guide, or just some of them according to their preference.

It is the lack of something that move and motivate characters, not the abundance of it

DESCRIPTION

A quadrone is a cube-shaped construct with four arms and four wings. It is one of the base modrons, the mechanical inhabitants of the plane of Mechanus. A quadrone has six sides, each with a sensory organ that grants it exceptional vision in various spectrums. A quadrone can communicate with other quadrones, as well as tridrones and pentadrones, but not with lower or higher ranked modrons. A quadrone has an axiomatic mind, meaning it cannot be compelled to act against its nature or instructions. A quadrone serves as a multifunctional laborer and a field officer in the modron army. As a four-function creature, a quadrone can report actions and observations, make plans, react to unexpected occurrences, and act to remedy them.

COMBAT

A quadrone is proficient with weapons, especially bows, which it can use to make four attacks at a time. Some quadrones are winged, which are used for special missions or for aerial combat. A quadrone can also use its fists to strike in melee. A quadrone is immune to mind-affecting effects, fear, and negative and positive energy. It also has resistance to acid, cold, and fire. A quadrone can perform four simultaneous tasks at a time, such as reporting actions, devising plans, reacting to unexpected situations, and solving problems. If a quadrone is destroyed, it disintegrates into dust and a tridrone is instantly upgraded into a quadrone to fill its position.

HABITAT / SOCIETY

A quadrone lives in Mechanus, the plane of absolute order and law. It is part of the modron hierarchy, which is ruled by Primus, the One and the Prime. A quadrone has a specific function and role in the modron society, and it follows its instructions without question or deviation. A quadrone supervises groups of lower modrons, such as monodrones, duodrones, and tridrones. A quadrone also serves as an artillery and field officer in the modron army, which occasionally invades other planes for unknown reasons. Each battalion has a special “dozen-unit”, containing nothing but quadrone warriors. A quadrone cannot communicate directly with lesser modrons or higher hierarch modrons, such as decatons or nonatons. Sometimes, a defective quadrone may go rogue and act in its own interests or no longer in accordance with its instructions. Such rogues are hunted by other modrons, although they can be reasoned with unlike their properly operating fellows.

ECOLOGY

A quadrone is a construct that does not need to eat, drink, sleep, or breathe. It is powered by an internal source of energy that is replenished by Primus. A quadrone does not reproduce or grow, but it can be upgraded or downgraded by Primus or other higher modrons. A quadrone does not have emotions or personality, but it has a sense of duty and loyalty to Primus and the modron hierarchy. A quadrone does not interact much with other creatures, except when following its instructions or performing its tasks. A quadrone may be encountered in Mechanus or other planes where the modron army is active.

Quadrone is employed as material component to empower the following spells:
