5th Edition Advanced Mode
Limiting the power of a character and making the overall difficulty of the game harder, does not reduce the creativity, indeed it does quite the opposite.
The Game Master has the option to use any and all of the instances proposed in this guide, or just some of them according to their preference.

It is the lack of something that move and motivate characters, not the abundance of it

DESCRIPTION

The Mosasaurus, a massive marine creature, is a fearsome presence in the oceans of the D&D world. With large flippers that allow it to “walk” on land and a jaw strong enough to crush bones and shells, the Mosasaurus is a true apex predator of the ancient seas. Its sharp teeth and powerful jaw make it an iconic figure in maritime legends and sailor’s tales.

COMBAT

In combat, the Mosasaurus is an unparalleled hunter, using its natural weapons to dominate the marine food chain. Its strong jaw and sharp teeth are capable of inflicting severe damage to its prey, which includes nearly all marine creatures within its territory. The Mosasaurus’s sheer size and strength make it a daunting opponent for any adventurer brave enough to face it in the depths.

HABITAT / SOCIETY

Mosasaurs are solitary creatures, preferring the vast openness of the ocean to the company of others. They are air breathers and can occasionally be found near the surface or even on land, where their flippers aid in mobility. Despite their solitary nature, the Mosasaurus plays a significant role in the marine ecosystem, maintaining the balance of life beneath the waves.

ECOLOGY

As carnivorous beings, Mosasaurs have a diet that consists primarily of other marine animals. Their role as predators helps to regulate the populations of other species, ensuring the health and diversity of the oceanic ecosystem. The Mosasaurus’s place at the top of the food chain is undisputed, making it a critical component of the ecological balance.
