Regeneration. The giant regains 10 hit points at the start of its turn. If the giant takes acid or fire damage, this trait doesn’t function at the start of its next turn. The giant dies only if it starts its turn with 0 hit points and doesn’t regenerate.

Vaprak’s Rage (Recharges after a Short or Long Rest). As a bonus action, the giant can enter a rage at the start of its turn. The rage lasts for 1 minute or until the giant is incapacitated. While raging, the giant gains the following benefits:

  • The giant has advantage on Strength checks and Strength saving throws.
  • When it makes a melee weapon attack, the giant gains a +4 bonus to the damage roll.
  • The giant has resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage.

  • Rock. Ranged Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, range 60/240 ft., one target. Hit: 29 (4d10 + 7) bludgeoning damage.

5th Edition Advanced Mode
Limiting the power of a character and making the overall difficulty of the game harder, does not reduce the creativity, indeed it does quite the opposite.
The Game Master has the option to use any and all of the instances proposed in this guide, or just some of them according to their preference.

It is the lack of something that move and motivate characters, not the abundance of it

DESCRIPTION

A Frost Giant Everlasting One is a rare and fearsome variant of a frost giant, a towering humanoid creature with light blue skin, white hair, and icy eyes. Frost giants are typically raiders and plunderers who live in the frozen lands of the north, worshipping the god Thrym. However, some frost giants seek to become everlasting ones, a process that involves devouring a troll sent by Vaprak, the god of trolls and ogres. This grants them tremendous strength, an ill temper, and a troll’s regenerative abilities. An everlasting one also has a 25 percent chance of having more than one head, which gives them an edge in perception and resistance to some effects.

An everlasting one is easily distinguished from a normal frost giant by its patchwork armor, made from the skins or pelts of various animals. It also carries a large greataxe, often decorated with runes or trophies. Some everlasting ones also have frost runes inscribed on their weapons or possessions, which grant them additional powers over ice and cold.

COMBAT

An everlasting one is a formidable opponent in combat, relying on its brute force and resilience to overcome its enemies. It prefers to engage in melee with its greataxe, which can deal massive damage to a single target. It can also hurl rocks or chunks of ice at foes who are out of its reach, or use its frost rune to summon ice wolves or create walls of ice.

An everlasting one’s most remarkable feature is its regeneration, which allows it to heal from most wounds quickly. The only way to stop this healing is to deal fire damage to it, which prevents it from regenerating until the start of its next turn. An everlasting one can also survive being decapitated or dismembered, as long as at least one of its heads remains intact. If it has more than one head, it can continue fighting even if one of its heads is destroyed.

An everlasting one is not very intelligent or wise, but it is cunning and ruthless. It will not hesitate to use its environment to its advantage, such as creating avalanches, collapsing structures, or triggering traps. It will also target the weakest or most vulnerable foes first, especially those who use fire magic or weapons. An everlasting one is loyal to Thrym and Vaprak, but it has no respect for other frost giants or creatures. It will often challenge other frost giants for leadership or territory, or attack them for sport or food.

HABITAT / SOCIETY

An everlasting one lives in the same harsh environments as frost giants, such as mountains, glaciers, or tundra. However, unlike frost giants who form clans and communities, an everlasting one is usually solitary or accompanied by a few ice wolves. An everlasting one does not care for the traditions or customs of frost giants, and often disregards their laws and codes of honor. An everlasting one sees itself as superior to other frost giants, and seeks to prove its might and dominance by raiding, pillaging, and killing.

An everlasting one rarely interacts with other creatures, unless it is to fight or feed on them. An everlasting one has a voracious appetite, and will eat almost anything that is edible, including animals, plants, and even other giants. An everlasting one does not have any allies or friends, except for Vaprak and Thrym, who occasionally grant them favors or blessings. An everlasting one may also serve as an agent or emissary for these gods, carrying out their orders or delivering their messages.

ECOLOGY

An everlasting one has a significant impact on the ecology of its surroundings, as it consumes large amounts of resources and leaves behind destruction and waste. An everlasting one’s presence can disrupt the balance of nature, causing famine, drought, or blight in nearby areas. An everlasting one’s regeneration also makes it difficult to kill or dispose of, as it can regrow from severed parts or even from bloodstains. An everlasting one’s body parts can be used for various purposes, such as crafting weapons or armor, brewing potions or poisons, or performing rituals or spells.

An everlasting one is a rare and unnatural creature that does not belong in the natural order of things. It is a product of Vaprak’s twisted experiments and Thrym’s cruel ambitions. It is hated and feared by most living beings, especially those who dwell in the cold regions where it roams. An everlasting one is a menace that must be stopped before it causes more harm and suffering.
