Rejuvenation. If it dies, the naga returns to life in 1d6 days and regains all its hit points. Only a wish spell can prevent this trait from functioning.

Spellcasting. The naga is a 10th-level spellcaster. Its spellcasting ability is Intelligence (spell save DC 14, +6 to hit with spell attacks), and it needs only verbal components to cast its spells. It has the following wizard spells prepared:

ACTIONS

  • BiteMelee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 10 ft., one creature. Hit: (1d6 + 4) piercing damage plus (7d8)poison damage. The target must make a DC 13 Constitution saving throw, taking the poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

5th Edition Advanced Mode
Limiting the power of a character and making the overall difficulty of the game harder, does not reduce the creativity, indeed it does quite the opposite.
The Game Master has the option to use any and all of the instances proposed in this guide, or just some of them according to their preference.

It is the lack of something that move and motivate characters, not the abundance of it

DESCRIPTION

A spirit naga is a large, snake-like creature with a human-like head and arms. Its scales are usually dark green, black, or purple, and its eyes glow with a sinister light. Its mouth is full of sharp fangs that drip with venom, and its hair is long and tangled. A spirit naga is an intelligent and evil being that seeks to dominate and destroy others with its magic and cunning.

COMBAT

A spirit naga is a formidable opponent in combat, as it can use its powerful bite and its hypnotic gaze to inflict damage and control its enemies. Its bite injects a potent poison that can cause severe pain and death, while its gaze can charm or dominate a creature that meets its eyes. A spirit naga is also a skilled spellcaster, capable of casting a variety of spells from the wizard’s list. It prefers to use spells that harm, manipulate, or deceive its foes, such as charm person, lightning bolt, blight, or dominate person. A spirit naga is immune to poison and charm effects, and can regenerate from any wound unless killed by a wish spell.

HABITAT / SOCIETY

A spirit naga usually lives in dark and secluded places, such as caves, ruins, or swamps. It avoids direct sunlight, as it is sensitive to bright light. A spirit naga is a solitary creature that rarely associates with others of its kind, unless it has a common goal or enemy. A spirit naga is arrogant and cruel, and considers itself superior to all other beings. It often enslaves or manipulates weaker creatures to serve as its minions or pawns. A spirit naga hates all living things, but especially despises the guardian nagas, which are its natural enemies.

ECOLOGY

A spirit naga is an unnatural creature that was created by a dark god or an ancient curse. It does not belong to the natural order of things, and thus disrupts the balance of life wherever it goes. A spirit naga feeds on the life force of its victims, draining them of their vitality and magic. A spirit naga does not reproduce, but instead returns to life after a few days if it is killed. Only a wish spell can prevent this rejuvenation from occurring. A spirit naga has no allies or friends, only enemies and slaves. It seeks to spread its evil influence and destroy all that is good in the world.
