Limiting the power of a character and making the overall difficulty of the game harder, does not reduce the creativity, indeed it does quite the opposite.
The Game Master has the option to use any and all of the instances proposed in this guide, or just some of them according to their preference.

It is the lack of something that move and motivate characters, not the abundance of it

DESCRIPTION

Pteranodon is a flying reptile that belongs to the group of pterosaurs, which are not true dinosaurs but rather their distant cousins. The Pteranodon has a wingspan of 15 to 20 feet and a long, toothless beak that it uses to catch fish. It also has a distinctive crest on its head, which may have been used for display or steering. The Pteranodon’s skin is covered with patches of downy feathers, and its eyes are yellow. The Pteranodon is a medium-sized beast that is unaligned in terms of morality.

COMBAT

The Pteranodon prefers to avoid combat unless it is hungry or threatened. It uses its flyby ability to swoop down on its prey or enemies, biting them with its sharp beak. The Pteranodon does not provoke opportunity attacks when it flies out of an enemy’s reach, making it hard to catch or retaliate against. The Pteranodon is not very intelligent, but it has good perception and can spot potential targets from afar.

HABITAT / SOCIETY

The Pteranodon lives in warm climates, especially near the coast, where it can find abundant fish to feed on. It also inhabits grasslands and mountains, where it can soar high in the sky. The Pteranodon is usually solitary or lives in small flocks of up to eight individuals. It does not have a complex social structure, but it may cooperate with other pterosaurs to hunt or defend their territory. The Pteranodon nests on cliffs or rocky outcrops, where it lays one or two eggs at a time.

ECOLOGY

The Pteranodon is an important part of the ecosystem, as it helps regulate the population of fish and other aquatic creatures. It also serves as a food source for larger predators, such as dragons, wyverns, or rocs. The Pteranodon’s bones and feathers are sometimes used by humans or other races for crafting weapons, armor, or jewelry. The Pteranodon can also be tamed and trained as a flying mount by skilled riders, who can use its speed and agility to their advantage. However, this requires a lot of patience and care, as the Pteranodon is not very loyal or obedient.
