5th Edition Advanced Mode
Limiting the power of a character and making the overall difficulty of the game harder, does not reduce the creativity, indeed it does quite the opposite.
The Game Master has the option to use any and all of the instances proposed in this guide, or just some of them according to their preference.

It is the lack of something that move and motivate characters, not the abundance of it

DESCRIPTION

Grung Elite Warriors are small humanoid creatures that belong to the grung race, a species of poisonous frog-like beings that live in tropical rainforests. They have brightly colored skin that varies from green to blue to red, depending on their caste and social status. They have large eyes, webbed fingers and toes, and a long sticky tongue that they use to catch insects and small animals. Grung Elite Warriors are the most skilled and respected fighters among the grung, serving as the personal guards of the grung king or queen. They wear leather armor and wield daggers and shortbows, which they coat with their own venom. They are loyal, cunning, and ruthless, willing to die for their leader and their tribe.

COMBAT

Grung Elite Warriors are formidable opponents in combat, using their agility, stealth, and poison to gain an advantage over their enemies. They prefer to ambush their foes from the cover of the trees, raining arrows from above or leaping down to stab them with their daggers. They can also use their mesmerizing chirr, a loud and rhythmic croaking sound that can charm or frighten those who hear it. Grung Elite Warriors are immune to poison and can breathe both air and water, making them adaptable to different environments. They are also capable of making impressive jumps, thanks to their powerful legs.

HABITAT / SOCIETY

Grung Elite Warriors live in grung villages, which are usually located near rivers or lakes in the dense jungles. Grung society is strictly hierarchical, based on the color of their skin. The king or queen is always gold, followed by the green elite warriors, then the blue warriors, then the purple workers, then the red hunters, and finally the orange slaves. Each caste has a specific role and function in the tribe, and any attempt to disobey or challenge the authority of a higher caste is punished severely. Grung Elite Warriors are responsible for protecting the village and the leader from any threats, as well as enforcing the laws and traditions of the grung. They are also expected to train and mentor the younger blue warriors, who aspire to become elite warriors someday.

ECOLOGY

Grung Elite Warriors are carnivorous creatures that feed on insects, fish, birds, reptiles, and mammals that they hunt or scavenge in the jungle. They also consume various plants and fungi that have medicinal or psychedelic properties. Grung Elite Warriors are highly territorial and aggressive towards other races, especially those who encroach on their lands or resources. They often raid nearby settlements or travelers for food, slaves, or treasure. Grung Elite Warriors have a short lifespan of about 20 years, but they reproduce quickly and frequently. They lay eggs in pools of water, which hatch into tadpoles that eventually grow into adult grung. Grung Elite Warriors have few natural predators, except for larger animals such as crocodiles or snakes that can swallow them whole.
