5th Edition Advanced Mode
Limiting the power of a character and making the overall difficulty of the game harder, does not reduce the creativity, indeed it does quite the opposite.
The Game Master has the option to use any and all of the instances proposed in this guide, or just some of them according to their preference.

It is the lack of something that move and motivate characters, not the abundance of it

DESCRIPTION

Aarakocra shamans are the spiritual leaders and healers of the aarakocra race, a bird-like humanoid species that lives in high mountains or forests. Aarakocra shamans have a strong connection to the elemental forces of air and earth, and can use their magic to manipulate the weather, summon allies, or protect their flock. Aarakocra shamans are usually older and wiser than other aarakocra, and often have feathers of different colors or patterns that mark their status. Aarakocra shamans are revered by their people, and act as advisors, teachers, and mediators in times of conflict or crisis.

COMBAT

Aarakocra shamans prefer to avoid direct combat, and instead use their magic to support their allies or hinder their enemies. They can cast spells such as gust of wind, call lightning, or conjure animals to create favorable conditions for their flock, or spells such as blindness/deafness, hold person, or dispel magic to weaken their foes. Aarakocra shamans can also use their wings to fly and maneuver in the air, making them hard to reach or target by melee attackers. If forced into close combat, aarakocra shamans can use their talons or a simple weapon such as a dagger or a staff to defend themselves.

HABITAT / SOCIETY

Aarakocra shamans live in secluded communities that are hidden from the sight of other races. They usually dwell in high mountains or tall trees, where they can enjoy the freedom of the sky and the proximity to nature. Aarakocra shamans are responsible for maintaining the harmony and balance of their society, as well as preserving the traditions and lore of their ancestors. They perform rituals and ceremonies to honor the spirits of the air and the earth, and to ask for their guidance and blessing. Aarakocra shamans also act as healers and counselors for their people, using their magic and wisdom to cure diseases, mend wounds, or resolve disputes.

ECOLOGY

Aarakocra shamans have a symbiotic relationship with the environment they live in. They respect and protect the natural resources and creatures that sustain them, and in turn receive their aid and cooperation. Aarakocra shamans can communicate with animals and plants, and often form bonds with them. They can also influence the weather and the terrain to suit their needs or preferences. Aarakocra shamans are wary of outsiders who might threaten or harm their habitat, and will defend it fiercely if necessary. Aarakocra shamans are also curious and adventurous, and sometimes venture out of their homes to explore new lands or learn new things.
