5th Edition Advanced Mode
Limiting the power of a character and making the overall difficulty of the game harder, does not reduce the creativity, indeed it does quite the opposite.
The Game Master has the option to use any and all of the instances proposed in this guide, or just some of them according to their preference.

It is the lack of something that move and motivate characters, not the abundance of it

DESCRIPTION

An earth elemental is a massive creature made of earth and stone, resembling a walking hill with arms and a face. It can vary in appearance depending on the materials it was summoned from, such as dirt, sand, clay, metal, gems, or crystals. An earth elemental has no discernible features or organs, except for its eyes, which glow with a dull light. An earth elemental speaks Terran, the language of the elemental plane of Earth, but rarely chooses to do so.

An earth elemental can be conjured in any area of earth or stone. This type of common elemental appears on the Prime Material plane as a very large humanoid made of whatever types of dirt, stones, precious metals, and gems it was conjured from. It has a cold, expressionless face, and its two eyes sparkle like brilliant, multifaceted gems. Though it has a mouth-like opening in its face, an earth elemental will rarely speak. Their voices can be heard in the silence of deep tunnels, the rumblings of earthquakes, and the grinding of stone on stone.

COMBAT

An earth elemental is a formidable opponent in combat, using its great strength and durability to crush its enemies. It can slam its fists or hurl rocks at its foes, dealing massive bludgeoning damage. It can also burrow through nonmagical, unworked earth and stone without disturbing the material it moves through, allowing it to surprise its enemies or escape from danger. An earth elemental is resistant to most physical attacks, but vulnerable to thunder damage, which can shatter its rocky body. An earth elemental is immune to poison and most conditions that affect living creatures, such as exhaustion, paralysis, petrification, and unconsciousness .

Though earth elementals travel very slowly, they are relentless in the fulfillment of their appointed tasks. An earth elemental can travel through solid ground or stone with no penalty to movement or dexterity. However, these elementals cannot travel through water. They must either go around the body of water in their path or go under it, traveling in the ground. Earth elementals prefer the latter as it keeps them moving, more or less, in a straight line toward their goal.

HABITAT / SOCIETY

An earth elemental normally dwells in the elemental plane of Earth, a vast realm of solid rock and mineral veins. There, it serves as a guardian of the plane’s treasures and secrets, or as a servant of more powerful earth beings, such as dao or elder elementals. An earth elemental can also be summoned to the Material Plane by a spellcaster who knows the appropriate rituals and commands. An earth elemental has no loyalty or emotion, and will obey the orders of its summoner until the spell ends or it is destroyed. An earth elemental has no interest in the affairs of other creatures, and will not communicate with them unless compelled to do so .

ECOLOGY

An earth elemental is not a living creature in the conventional sense, but rather a manifestation of elemental energy. It does not need to eat, drink, breathe, or sleep, and does not age or reproduce. It has no natural predators or allies, except for other elementals of the same or opposing elements. An earth elemental has no impact on the environment it inhabits, except for leaving behind traces of earth and stone when it is slain. An earth elemental can be used as a source of rare materials or gems by those who can defeat it or control it.

Earth Elemental is employed as component to empower the following spells:
