5th Edition Advanced Mode
Limiting the power of a character and making the overall difficulty of the game harder, does not reduce the creativity, indeed it does quite the opposite.
The Game Master has the option to use any and all of the instances proposed in this guide, or just some of them according to their preference.

It is the lack of something that move and motivate characters, not the abundance of it

DESCRIPTION

A tridrone is a type of modron, a mechanical creature that embodies the principles of law and order. A tridrone has the shape of an inverted pyramid, with three arms, three legs, and three eyes. It can perform three tasks at a time, and has a complex mind that allows it to coordinate with other modrons. A tridrone speaks the modron language, and can communicate with duodrones and quadrones, but not with monodrones or pentadrones. A tridrone serves the will of Primus, the god-like ruler of Mechanus, the plane of ultimate order.

Tridrones appear as three-sided pyramids with spidery arms and legs. They supervise squads of 12 duodrones, who in turn pass their orders to the monodrones. Tridrones can carry out multiple-task projects on their own. Typically, they receive a general order, which they divide into smaller tasks to be fulfilled by the duodrones. In the modron army, tridrones serve in special companies, equipped with three javelins per being, which they hurl before entering melee.

Tridrones are capable of reporting actions and observations and actually planning limited objectives on the battlefield. They speak their own language and the trade tongue of the multiverse.

COMBAT

A tridrone is a competent combatant, capable of making three attacks per turn with its fists or any weapons it wields. It often leads groups of lesser modrons into battle, issuing commands to duodrones, who in turn pass down orders to monodrones. A tridrone is immune to mind-affecting effects, fear, and negative or positive energy. It also has resistance to acid, cold, and fire. It has truesight, as well as infravision and ultravision, allowing it to see in different spectrums of light. If a tridrone is destroyed, it disintegrates into dust, and a duodrone is instantly upgraded into a tridrone to fill its position.

HABITAT / SOCIETY

A tridrone lives in Mechanus, the plane of ultimate order, where everything follows a precise and predictable pattern. A tridrone is part of the modron hierarchy, which consists of 14 ranks of increasingly complex and powerful modrons. A tridrone belongs to the third rank, and is subordinate to quadrones and pentadrones, who are in turn subordinate to higher modrons. A tridrone has no individuality or free will, and follows its instructions without question or deviation. A tridrone’s only purpose is to serve Primus and maintain order in the multiverse.

ECOLOGY

A tridrone is a construct, not a living creature. It does not need to eat, drink, sleep, or breathe. It is created by Primus, who can produce any number of modrons as needed. A tridrone does not age or reproduce, but can be upgraded or downgraded depending on the needs of the modron hierarchy. A tridrone has no emotions or personality, and does not interact with other creatures unless ordered to do so. A tridrone’s only motivation is to fulfill its assigned task with efficiency and accuracy.

Tridrone is employed as material component to empower the following spells:
