The psionicist scans the environment within area of effect to detect the presence of living and thinking creatures.
The number of consecutive rounds spent on maintaining active this psionic power determines how far the psionicist can extend the Area of Effect.
The Area of Effect extends by 30 feet for each uninterrupted round spent scanning the area. At the same time, the Maintenance Cost increases by 1 PSP for each 30 feet increment.
The maximum number of 30 feet increments is equal to the psionicist’s intelligence score.
This psionic power reveals how many creatures are present within the area of effect and their size (tiny, small, medium, large, huge or gargantuan), provided the creatures are living and thinking.
The psionicist can calibrate his sensitivity to exclude the life sign of some creatures by their size, so that he can decide to detect creatures of a specific size, or creatures of a specific size or smaller than that, or larger than that specified.
Oozes, undeads and unintelligent plants are immune to this detection.
