Limiting the power of a character and making the overall difficulty of the game harder, does not reduce the creativity, indeed it does quite the opposite.
The Game Master has the option to use any and all of the instances proposed in this guide, or just some of them according to their preference.

It is the lack of something that move and motivate characters, not the abundance of it

DESCRIPTION

A dire wolf is a large and powerful beast that resembles a wolf, but is much bigger and stronger. A dire wolf has a thick coat of fur that ranges from black to gray to brown, and sometimes has white markings on its chest, paws, or tail. Its eyes are yellow or amber, and its teeth are sharp and deadly. A dire wolf can grow up to 9 feet long and weigh up to 800 pounds.

COMBAT

A dire wolf is a fierce and cunning hunter that relies on its keen senses of hearing and smell to track down its prey. It often hunts in packs, using its pack tactics to gain an advantage over its enemies. A dire wolf can bite with tremendous force, and can knock down a creature with a single attack. A dire wolf is also stealthy and agile, able to move quickly and quietly through various terrains.

HABITAT / SOCIETY

A dire wolf lives in cold or temperate regions, such as forests, mountains, or tundra. It prefers to avoid areas with a lot of human activity, but will sometimes venture into farms or villages to raid livestock or attack unwary travelers. A dire wolf is loyal to its pack, which consists of a dominant pair and their offspring. A pack can have up to 12 members, and will defend its territory from other predators or intruders. A dire wolf communicates with its pack through howls, growls, barks, and body language.

ECOLOGY

A dire wolf is a carnivore that feeds on large animals, such as deer, elk, moose, or even bears. It will also scavenge carrion or eat smaller creatures if necessary. A dire wolf can consume up to 20 pounds of meat in a single meal. A dire wolf mates for life, and produces a litter of 4 to 6 pups once a year. The pups are born blind and helpless, and depend on their parents and siblings for protection and nourishment. A dire wolf can live up to 15 years in the wild.
