Contamination. The sibriex emits an aura of corruption 30 feet in every direction. Plants that aren’t creatures wither in the aura, and the ground in it is difficult terrain for other creatures. Any creature that starts its turn in the aura must succeed on a DC 20 Constitution saving throw or take 14 (4d6) poison damage. A creature that succeeds on the save is immune to this sibriex’s Contamination for 24 hours.

Corrupting Presence (suggested). When the sibriex is on the Prime Material Plane, its mere existence causes a region of 10 miles radius centered on itself to gradually decay. Plants wither, animals sicken, and structures crumble. Each day, a creature that starts its turn within the region must succeed on a DC 20 Constitution saving throw or become poisoned until it leaves the region. A creature that fails three such saving throws in a row also gains one level of exhaustion. A creature that dies from this poison or exhaustion rises as an abyssal wretch in 1d4 hours. The sibriex can suppress or resume this effect as a bonus action.

Innate Spellcasting. The sibriex’s innate spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 21). It can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:

Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If the sibriex fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.

Magic Resistance. The sibriex has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

ACTIONS

  • Multiattack. The sibriex uses Squirt Bile once and makes three attacks using its chain, bite, or both.
  • ChainMelee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 20 (2d12 + 7) piercing damage.
  • BiteMelee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (2d8) piercing damage plus 9 (2d8) acid damage.
  • Squirt Bile. The sibriex targets one creature it can see within 120 feet of it. The target must succeed on a DC 20 Dexterity saving throw or take 35 (10d6) acid damage.
  • Warp Creature. The sibriex targets up to three creatures it can see within 120 feet of it. Each target must make a DC 20 Constitution saving throw. On a successful save, a creature becomes immune to this sibriex’s Warp Creature. On a failed save, the target is poisoned, which causes it to also gain 1 level of exhaustion. While poisoned in this way, the target must repeat the saving throw at the start of each of its turns. Three successful saves against the poison end it, and ending the poison removes any levels of exhaustion caused by it. Each failed save causes the target to suffer another level of exhaustion. Once the target reaches 6 levels of exhaustion, it dies and instantly transforms into a living abyssal wretch under the sibriex’s control. The transformation of the body can be undone only by a wish spell.

LEGENDARY ACTIONS

The sibriex can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature’s turn. The sibriex regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.

  • Cast a Spell. The sibriex casts a spell.
  • Spray Bile. The sibriex uses Squirt Bile.
  • Warp (Costs 2 Actions). The sibriex uses Warp Creature.

5th Edition Advanced Mode
Limiting the power of a character and making the overall difficulty of the game harder, does not reduce the creativity, indeed it does quite the opposite.
The Game Master has the option to use any and all of the instances proposed in this guide, or just some of them according to their preference.

It is the lack of something that move and motivate characters, not the abundance of it

DESCRIPTION

A sibriex is a grotesque and ancient demon that resembles a bloated, deformed head with shriveled arms and a mass of tentacles. It is a master of fleshcrafting, able to warp and mutate living creatures into horrific abominations. It is also a hoarder of secrets, possessing vast knowledge of the multiverse and the Abyss. A sibriex emits an aura of corruption that withers plants and poisons creatures around it. It communicates telepathically and speaks all languages. When the sibriex is on the Prime Material Plane, its mere existence causes a region of 10 miles radius centered on itself to gradually decay. Plants wither, animals sicken, and structures crumble. This is known as its corrupting presence.

COMBAT

A sibriex is a formidable opponent in combat, using its chains, bite, and bile to attack its enemies. It can also use its warp creature ability to inflict poison and exhaustion on up to three targets at once, transforming them into abyssal wretches if they die. A sibriex has high resistance and immunity to many types of damage, as well as advantage on saving throws against magic. It can also use its legendary resistance to succeed on a failed save. A sibriex prefers to avoid direct confrontation with stronger foes, relying on its minions and allies to protect it. A sibriex can also use its corrupting presence to weaken and kill its enemies over time.

HABITAT / SOCIETY

A sibriex dwells in the Abyss, the chaotic realm of demons. It is an obyrith, one of the oldest and most powerful types of demons, predating the rise of the tanar’ri. A sibriex is responsible for creating many breeds of tanar’ri through its experiments, such as the balor, the hezrou, and the vrock. A sibriex is often sought after by other demons for its services, but it demands high prices in return, such as souls, secrets, or favors. A sibriex is arrogant and vain, viewing other creatures as inferior or raw material. A sibriex rarely travels to other planes, but when it does, it leaves a trail of destruction and corruption behind it.

ECOLOGY

A sibriex is a fiend, a creature of evil and corruption. It feeds on the life force and flesh of other beings, especially those that it has warped or mutated. It reproduces by spawning new obyriths from its own flesh or by transforming other creatures into its kin. A sibriex has a negative impact on the environment, spreading disease and decay wherever it goes. A sibriex has few natural enemies, but it may face opposition from celestials, devils, or other demons that seek to stop its schemes or challenge its power.
