5th Edition Advanced Mode
Limiting the power of a character and making the overall difficulty of the game harder, does not reduce the creativity, indeed it does quite the opposite.
The Game Master has the option to use any and all of the instances proposed in this guide, or just some of them according to their preference.

It is the lack of something that move and motivate characters, not the abundance of it

DESCRIPTION

The Orc Red Fang of Shargaas is a type of orc that worships Shargaas, the orc deity of deep darkness and sneakiness. Shargaas is a murderous god who hates anything that lives that isn’t an orc . Orcs consider Shargaas to be a divinity suited to pariahs and weaklings, all of them unfit for true roles in tribal life . These outsiders live in the most remote, deepest parts of the tribe’s domain. The Red Fangs are the elite among Shargaas’s followers, and they perform assassinations, stealthy raids, and other covert operations on the tribe’s behalf . They rely on a mix of intense training and magic granted to them by Shargaas .

The Orc Red Fang of Shargaas stands about 7 feet tall, with a large muscular body, grayish skin, coarse hair and a stooped posture. It has a low forehead and a pig-like face, with lower canines that resemble boar tusks. It also has ears that are pointed at the end. It wears studded leather armor and carries a scimitar and a dart as its weapons. It has a red fang tattoo on its face or neck, symbolizing its allegiance to Shargaas .

COMBAT

The Orc Red Fang of Shargaas is a cunning and ruthless fighter, using its stealth and speed to surprise and overwhelm its enemies. It can use a bonus action to take the Dash, Disengage, or Hide action, allowing it to maneuver around the battlefield and avoid direct confrontation . It also deals extra damage when it hits a target with a weapon attack, thanks to the Hand of Shargaas, a blessing from its god . Additionally, it can see through magical darkness, which it often uses to its advantage by casting darkness without any components, using the Veil of Shargaas ability . In the first round of a combat, the orc has advantage on attack rolls against any creature that hasn’t taken a turn yet. If the orc hits a creature that round who was surprised, the hit is automatically a critical hit, thanks to the Slayer trait . The orc makes two scimitar or dart attacks per round, depending on the range and situation .

HABITAT / SOCIETY

The Orc Red Fang of Shargaas lives in the most remote, deepest parts of the tribe’s domain, away from the rest of the orcs. It is usually shunned and despised by other orcs, who see it as a coward and a traitor. The only time it interacts with other orcs is when it receives orders from the tribal leader or the shaman, who use the Red Fangs as their secret agents and assassins . The Red Fangs have their own hierarchy and rituals, which are based on the teachings of Shargaas. They often sacrifice their victims to their god, especially those who are killed in the dark or by surprise . The Red Fangs also keep and nurture giant bats, creatures that are sacred to Shargaas. They use them as companions, scouts, and mounts .

ECOLOGY

The Orc Red Fang of Shargaas is a nocturnal predator, hunting and killing anything that crosses its path. It prefers to stalk its prey in the dark, using its stealth and magic to remain unseen and unheard. It rarely leaves any traces of its presence, except for the corpses of its victims, which it sometimes mutilates or marks with its red fang symbol. It has a keen sense of smell and hearing, which it uses to locate and track its targets. It avoids sunlight and bright light, which hurt its eyes and make it vulnerable. It feeds on meat, preferably fresh and raw, and drinks blood, especially from its enemies. It has a short lifespan, rarely living past 20 years, and reproduces by mating with other orcs or sometimes with other races, producing half-orcs or mongrels. It has few natural enemies, except for other orcs who hate and fear it, and adventurers who seek to destroy it.
