“The body obeys the mind, but whose mind?”
The psionicist takes control of a humanoid’s locomotory system. This power affects the muscles, tendons, and junctions, so that the target is not able to control its movements.
The Initial Cost is 8 PSPs plus the target’s strength score and the Maintenance Cost is 1 PSPs / round plus the target’s strength modifier.
This power does not affect the central nervous system, which remains under the target’s control and can thus resist the effects of this psionic power.
The target is fully aware that something is controlling its movements and, unless the target decides to oppose no resistance, its movement remains clumsy and unnatural.
Once the psionicist activates this psionic power, it can start an ability score contest against the target. The psionicist rolls an Intelligence check (1 action) to take control of the target’s body, and the target rolls a Strength check (1 full-round action) to resist control.
The target can decide to take an attack action or a move action while resisting this psionic power, but in that case, it will roll the contest with disadvantage.
The target can attempt to retake control of its body once per round.
The psionicist can force the target to accomplish one of the following actions, once per round:
- Move (at target’s half speed)
- Get the target prone or sit
- Make the target stand up
- Make an attack action with disadvantage
- Any other action that involves the use of the target’s limbs
If the psionicist forces the target to take a suicidal action, and the target is aware of what is about to happen, then the target can immediately make a contest against the psionicist to regain control.
