The psionicist stores psionic energies in the form of PSPs in a receptacle for later use.
The psionicist can transfer the PSPs stored inside the receptacle to his psionicist’s pool PSPs as an action.
The psionicist cannot directly use the PSPs stored inside the receptacle to fuel his psionic powers.
The receptacle must be a metallic object or a gemstone.
The amount of PSPs a receptacle can store depends on the antiquity of the object and its value. As a general rule, for every gold piece of value the receptacle can store 1 PSPs.
The Game Master may state that a specific object is charged with enough psychic energies to become a good candidate to be transformed into a receptacle, no matter the market value of the object. Object of Arts, relics and other special manufacts are good choices to become receptacles.
The psionicist can store in a receptacle a maximum number of PSPs equal to its maximum amount of PSPs at the moment the receptacle is filled.
The psionicist can fill a specific receptacle with PSPs only once, meaning that he cannot reset the receptacle and fill it again with PSPs.
The object chosen to become a receptacle must be carefully polished and prepared for 24 hours without interruption, during this time the psionicist will be establishing a contact with object and pays the Initial Cost in PSPs.
After the preparation time, the psionicist starts storing his PSPs inside the object at a rate of 1 PSPs per round, until he reaches the maximum capacity.
Once the process of storing the PSPs is complete, the psionicist make the Power Check. If the power check fails, then the receptacle maximum capacity will be half the initial capacity.
The psionicist can restore the receptacle PSPs pool at any moment at a rate of 1 PSPs per round.
The psionicist cannot own more than one active receptacle at any given time, no matter how many PSPs the receptacle contains.
If the receptacle is destroyed, then the psionicist will lose the same amount of PSPs stored in the receptacle, but a Constitution saving throw reduces the loss by half.
