5th Edition Advanced Mode
Limiting the power of a character and making the overall difficulty of the game harder, does not reduce the creativity, indeed it does quite the opposite.
The Game Master has the option to use any and all of the instances proposed in this guide, or just some of them according to their preference.
It is the lack of something that move and motivate characters, not the abundance of it
DESCRIPTION
White abishais are draconic devils that serve Tiamat, the evil goddess of chromatic dragons. They are the weakest of their kind, but they make up for it with their reckless fury and loyalty to their queen. White abishais have scaly white skin, leathery wings, and a long tail. Their heads resemble those of white dragons, with sharp teeth, horns, and icy blue eyes. They wear armor and weapons forged in the Nine Hells, often adorned with symbols of Tiamat.
COMBAT
White abishais are fearless warriors that fight without hesitation or mercy. They prefer to charge into melee combat, slashing and biting their enemies with their claws and fangs. They can also use their wings to fly and maneuver in the air, or to create gusts of wind that knock their foes off balance. White abishais are immune to cold, fire, and poison, and resistant to nonmagical weapons that are not silvered. They can also see through magical darkness and have advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
HABITAT / SOCIETY
White abishais dwell in the Nine Hells, where they serve as Tiamat’s agents and emissaries. They are often sent to other planes to represent her interests, or to recruit more followers for her cult. White abishais are loyal to Tiamat above all else, and obey her commands without question. They also respect the authority of other archdevils, but rarely work for them unless ordered by Tiamat. White abishais have a hierarchy based on their color, with white being the lowest rank. They often compete with other abishais for Tiamat’s favor, but they cooperate when facing a common enemy.
ECOLOGY
White abishais are fiends that feed on the souls of the wicked and the blood of the innocent. They are created by Tiamat from the souls of her most devoted followers, who undergo a painful transformation into draconic devils. White abishais are the newest and most numerous of Tiamat’s servants, but they aspire to rise in rank and power by proving themselves in battle and pleasing their queen. White abishais have no natural enemies, except for those who oppose Tiamat and her plans. They view metallic dragons as their sworn rivals, and seek to destroy them whenever possible.
