5th Edition Advanced Mode
Limiting the power of a character and making the overall difficulty of the game harder, does not reduce the creativity, indeed it does quite the opposite.
The Game Master has the option to use any and all of the instances proposed in this guide, or just some of them according to their preference.

It is the lack of something that move and motivate characters, not the abundance of it

DESCRIPTION

A Troglodyte Warrior is a reptilian humanoid that dwells in the dark and dank caves of the Underdark, or in the cracks and crevices of mountains. They are savage and barbaric, with a culture centered around food and scent. They have leathery scales that can change color to blend in with their surroundings, and lizard-like heads with frills that extend from their foreheads to their necks. Their eyes are black and beady, and their claws and fangs are sharp and deadly. They have long, slender tails that help them balance and maneuver in tight spaces. They stand about 6 feet tall, and males have a fin-like crest that distinguishes them from females.

COMBAT

A Troglodyte Warrior is a fierce and relentless fighter, using its bite and claws to tear apart its enemies. They often attack in large, undisciplined packs, relying on their numbers and their stench to overwhelm their foes. Their stench is so foul that it can sicken any creature nearby, except for other troglodytes. They can smell fear and target the most afraid creatures first. They are also adept at stealth, using their chameleon skin to hide in the shadows and ambush unsuspecting prey. They are vulnerable to sunlight, however, which hampers their vision and their morale. They also use javelins made of steel, which they value above all else as a sign of power and wealth.

HABITAT / SOCIETY

A Troglodyte Warrior lives in a tribal society, where the strongest and most cunning rule over the rest. They worship Laogzed, the Devourer, a god of hunger and decay. They believe that eating other creatures grants them their power and essence, and that they are destined to consume the world. They are constantly at war with other races, especially those who live near their territory or compete for their food sources. They mark the borders of their territory with blood, dung, bones, and other gruesome signs to warn off intruders. They have a rudimentary language of grunts, hisses, and scents, but some of them can also speak Draconic. They hate man above all other creatures and often launch bloody raids on human communities in search of food and steel.

ECOLOGY

A Troglodyte Warrior is a carnivorous creature that feeds on any meat it can find or kill. They prefer fresh meat, but will also scavenge or cannibalize if necessary. They have a fast metabolism and a high body temperature, which makes them prone to hunger and thirst. They need to drink large amounts of water to keep hydrated and to wash off their stench. They reproduce by laying eggs in moist and dark places, which hatch after a few months. The young troglodytes are left to fend for themselves, learning to hunt and survive by instinct. Only the strongest and most cunning survive to adulthood. Few creatures hunt troglodytes, for their taste is said to be even more vile than their odor.

Troglodyte is employed as material component to empower the following spells:
