5th Edition Advanced Mode
Limiting the power of a character and making the overall difficulty of the game harder, does not reduce the creativity, indeed it does quite the opposite.
The Game Master has the option to use any and all of the instances proposed in this guide, or just some of them according to their preference.

It is the lack of something that move and motivate characters, not the abundance of it

DESCRIPTION

A duodrone is a block-shaped construct with two spindly arms, two spindly legs, a small set of wings, a central eye, and a large mouth. It is one of the simplest types of modrons, the mechanical beings that inhabit the plane of Mechanus. A duodrone has a metallic body that is usually gray or silver in color, and it can disintegrate into dust when destroyed. A duodrone can communicate with other duodrones and with monodrones and tridrones, but it cannot comprehend more advanced modrons. A duodrone has an absolute sense of hierarchy and order, and it follows the instructions given to it by its superiors without question.

A duodrone is a bifunctional modron that can perform two tasks at a time, but it usually only receives one, so that it can react to unforeseen circumstances. A duodrone serves as a supervisor of units of monodrones, the simplest type of modrons, or performs complex tasks beyond the abilities of the monodrones. A duodrone is always created as the result of an upgraded monodrone to take the place of a destroyed unit. A duodrone has no individuality or personality, and it exists only to fulfill its assigned function.

COMBAT

A duodrone is a competent combatant that can wield weapons, often halfspears or javelins. It can perform two attacks at a time, either with its fists or with its weapons. A duodrone will fight until it or its enemy is destroyed, and it will not flee or surrender. If ordered to attack, a duodrone will also decide whether or not to pursue additional combatants. A duodrone is immune to all effects and spells that influence the mind, fear, and attacks that rely on energy from either the Negative or Positive energy planes. It also has a resistance to acid, cold, and fire.

A duodrone serves in the forces of the modron army as corporals and sergeants, or as special shock troops armed with thrusting and crushing weapons. Typically, they are given only a single command at a time, allowing them the limited ability to react. A duodrone has limited conversational ability, but it can report its operations and observations clearly and completely.

HABITAT / SOCIETY

A duodrone lives in Mechanus, the plane of ultimate law and order. It is part of the modron hierarchy, which is ruled by Primus, the One and the Prime. A duodrone reports to a tridrone, which in turn reports to a quadrone, and so on. A duodrone has no natural enemies or allies, except for other modrons. A duodrone does not need to eat, drink, sleep, or breathe, but it does require regular maintenance and repair.

ECOLOGY

A duodrone does not reproduce or grow, but it can be upgraded or downgraded by Primus or by other modrons. A duodrone has no emotions or morals, and it does not care about anything other than its orders. A duodrone has no concept of life or death, and it does not fear or mourn its own destruction.

Duedrone is employed as material component to empower the following spells:
