You sacrifice some of your health to harm another creature. You take 4d10 necrotic damage, and one creature of your choice that you can see within range takes an amount of necrotic damage equal to the necrotic damage you take plus your spell attack modifier. If the target dies due to this spell, he is reanimated as a zombie under your control.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d10 for each slot level above 3rd.
