The rooms 3a, 3b and 3c each contains a statue made of a different stone material.
- 3a. Female figure in studded leather armour, standing with one arm outstretched, palm upwards. Held in that hand is a skull, with the eyes facing the woman, who is looking into them (basalt).
- 3b. Robed individual with a mitre on their head, one hand raised as if in benediction and the other outstretched and holding an open book (marble).
- 3c. Androgynous winged figure, with all but their face hidden, as the wings are wrapped around their body (obsidian).
The pedestals they are standing on are all made of granite.
A close inspection reveals that each statue bear a mark on the chest that looks like a scar the size of a couple of inches.
A single attempt to touch a statue, will cause it to animate as the equivalent of a Caryatid (AD&D 2e MM).
From that round thereafter the DM rolls 1d6 each round, and if he rolls a 1 another of the remaining statue among those in the rooms 3a, 3b or 3c will animate also to attack the characters. The statues can easily break the doors.
Upon defeating a statue, it will crumble into pieces and release an elaborated bronze rod that looks like a weird key.
Potential XP: Caryatid (3)
